Welcome! You've probably heard someone say, "A picture is worth a thousand words". In many cases, a painted image can say the same thing with so much more emotion—and with less words! The artist looks for the essence of the scene, eliminating unnecessary detail and performing subtle artistic techniques to lead your eyes to the important areas.

The artistic renderings on this site do just that. I start with one or more captivating images and treat them as an artist would paint them. The end results look very much like watercolors, gouche, or oil paintings. The final image is printed on archival watercolor paper in breathtaking color.

I sometimes show the original photo next to the rendered image. Almost without exception, viewers prefer the "painted" version. They are truly amazing!
